Calm Down, Everyone, UFOs Are NOT Extra-Terrestrial Visitors

Chapter 1: The UFO Phenomenon
The release of government documents in June 2021 regarding "unidentified aerial phenomena," commonly referred to as UFOs, has led America to dive headfirst into a maze of confusion and myth.

I can already hear the passionate believers of extraterrestrial life ready to bombard me with their well-prepared arguments. However, I refuse to engage in the minutiae of these claims, as they don’t offer a clear view of the situation.
Consider this image for a moment:

If you guessed the edge of a fried egg, congratulations. But without a wider perspective, it’s impossible to be certain. The same principle applies to UFOs; enthusiasts often focus too narrowly on specific details without considering the broader context.
When someone asserts that UFOs are alien spacecraft, several assumptions must be made. First, we have to accept that an alien civilization has traveled great distances to reach Earth without making any significant attempts to communicate with us. This seems unlikely. If such advanced beings possessed the technology to traverse galaxies, wouldn’t they observe us from a distance rather than engage in flashy displays in our atmosphere?
Secondly, we must assume these extraterrestrials are so technologically advanced that a trip to our planet is as casual as a drive to the beach. They are said to arrive in various shapes and sizes, from round to triangular crafts, all adorned with peculiar lighting. The unpredictability of their appearances only adds to the confusion.
Thirdly, we need to believe that they are experts in remaining undetected, yet somehow, they are frequently spotted—not by serious scientists, but by casual observers who happen to glance up at the sky. Every sighting, however, is just elusive enough to avoid concrete proof of their existence.
Let’s be real: aliens are like the Bigfoot of the skies. This mythical creature is so elusive that no evidence of its existence has ever been found, yet sightings occur regularly, often in the most mundane places.
Much like the Bigfoot phenomenon, belief in alien visitation relies on the human tendency to jump to conclusions based on a lack of understanding. When faced with the unknown, we often fill in the gaps with fantastical explanations: “I can’t identify that noise, so it must be a ghost,” or “That strange light in the sky? It must be an alien spaceship.”
Proponents of these theories often assert that dismissing ordinary explanations somehow strengthens their claims. However, eliminating the mundane does not inherently validate the extraordinary. Just because we cannot identify something doesn’t mean we should leap to the conclusion that it’s otherworldly.
Ultimately, no amount of conjecture will convince me that extraterrestrial beings have traveled across the cosmos merely to toy with humanity. The chances of being spotted repeatedly without conclusive evidence seems implausible at best.
The universe is vast, and while intelligent life may exist elsewhere, I doubt any visitors would behave like reckless thrill-seekers. If they do arrive, I suspect they will either reveal themselves or remain completely hidden. The notion of them zipping around just out of sight is simply not believable.
Of course, the idea of being alone in the universe is disheartening. However, as of now, the only known intelligent beings reside on our planet. We can either confront this reality head-on or indulge in fanciful games of imagination.
And while spotting imaginary creatures in the clouds can be enjoyable, I prefer not to join in on the ride.
