Chapter 1: Acknowledging Anger
Lately, I've come to the realization that I've been harboring more anger than I initially recognized—anger that’s deeply buried and built up over time. Much of this frustration stems from circumstances beyond my control, particularly the heartbreak of my boyfriend's heroin overdose, which left me feeling utterly lost and shattered.
At one point, I genuinely believed that the trauma of 2022 would leave me irreparably broken.
My Turning Point
After enduring a tumultuous nine months filled with substance abuse, I found myself waking up in a hospital post-overdose, far from home, and facing the harsh reality of my situation. This culminated in a reckless car theft, a high-speed police chase, and a stint in jail before I had the clarity to understand that wallowing in my own despair was getting me nowhere.
During this time, I found myself crying and praying more than ever, which led me to start writing extensively. I finally realized that remaining trapped in my own misery was not a viable option.
I recognize that I still have a long journey ahead, so I created a list of things to release to the full moon tonight. I am determined to let go of these burdens instead of allowing them to hold me captive.

- Anger towards my children's father for temporarily taking them from my home. I was not in the right mental state to care for my kids, much less for myself.
- Self-blame for my struggles with substance use, feeling inadequate as a person.
- Judgments from others based solely on societal stigmas about who they think I am.
- The notion that I am too much for others. I embrace my identity as a Leo and recognize that not everyone has to fit into a mold. My personality is valid.
- Being overly emotional, a trait tied to my Aries moon. It’s simply part of my astrological makeup, and I must accept that.
There are many more things I wish to release, but that would take all night.
