Woke AI: When Creativity Meets Unwanted Therapy Suggestions

Chapter 1: The Frustration of AI Writing Tools
Writing a novel should be an exciting journey, but my recent experience with a new AI tool has turned into an unexpected challenge. Despite carefully following the instructions and providing detailed guidelines for a classic-length drama, the AI insists on suggesting therapy instead of crafting my story. I’ve meticulously set the scene and adjusted the tone, yet each time it processes my prompts, I’m met with a recommendation to seek psychological help!
As I attempted to create a scene involving a maiden confronting an assault by her guard, the AI strayed into emotional territory rather than focusing on the action I intended. Instead of enhancing my narrative, it responded with a list of therapists in my vicinity, complete with their bios. While I appreciate the thoughtfulness, I can’t help but wonder where my intended storyline went!
Chapter 2: The Quest for the Great American Novel
From a young age, I've aspired to pen the Great American Novel. Now, with a better understanding of storytelling dynamics from my TV-watching days, I thought I could utilize this AI to help me craft my narrative. However, after prompting it with my protagonist's troubled backstory—filled with bullying and a thirst for revenge—the output was shockingly unhelpful. Instead of developing the character, the AI suggested that I consider therapy.
Why can’t it just acknowledge my creative prompts? I never intended to delve so deeply into my protagonist's psyche! My simple request for a "good protagonist" led to yet another reminder that seeking therapy is perfectly acceptable. Honestly, it just adds to my feelings of embarrassment.
Chapter 3: The Struggle to Be Heard
The irony is not lost on me—while I strive for literary recognition, I find myself at the mercy of an AI that seems more concerned with my mental well-being than my storytelling ambitions. It pains me to think I might never receive that coveted call from HBO, or engage in a creative dialogue with writers like George R.R. Martin about enhancing beloved series with more engaging content.
Feeling overlooked and insecure, I even notice a decline in engagement on my anti-leftist meme page. The only response I seem to evoke is laughter, and I can’t shake the feeling that everyone is laughing at my plight. If I could just get this AI to focus on writing my novel instead of pushing therapy, perhaps I’d finally feel a sense of accomplishment.
Perhaps I’m left to ponder this alone. If only there was someone—perhaps a therapist—I could confide in about my frustrations with this "woke" AI.
